This game could go either way in my opinion, it looks like it'll be pretty good, and hopefully they can slip in some nostalgic locations being that it's the first RE in Raccoon City since '3'.
It looks like it'll be some sort of alternate reality with the revelation that players will have the option to kill Leon Kennedy during the initial Raccoon City disaster where he earned his stripes so to speak. Usually in this situation I like to stay true to the storyline, just for continuity's sake - but I think in this instance I'll do away with the second instalment's protagonist, just to rid at lease one reality of that awful hair do!
As a Zombie-buff I can honestly say that the Resident Evil franchise went out the window after the GameCubes 'Resident Evil 1' (which was just a revamp of......Resident Evil 1......)
Since then and even before then, it strayed away from being a good old classic Zombie horror game, which personally had me screaming and jumping out of my seat when playing it, to being just your everyday computer game 'shoot-em-up.'
This looks no different. Not excited, not impressed, not scared for my brains.
I agree with you in that it's no longer a horror series, however I disagree that it's another of "your everyday 'shoot-em-up'". It's still a survival game with interesting puzzle elements and spurts of good old fashioned gore. You have to remember that you were probably considerably younger when you played the original games but I agree that it was a bit of a let down in that since RE4 there haven't been any actual undead 'zombies' in it, but that gives me even more excitement to get back the historical events of RE2 with the first large scale outbreak, but this time getting to play the other side of the chess board.

DeleteYou need to add more links to your pages to direct viewers to the source(s) of your 'news'.
